WHO WE ARE

We serve

We are a Non Profit Organization working for the promotion and protection of the environment. We build advocacy capacity of vulnerable communities to communicate the problem of climate injustice that affect them the most

We work

We fight against the daily activities of man generating various wastes and garbage too often poorly managed which contribute miserably to the destruction of our living environment

We respond

The political will to change the world will come through local communities and grassroots movements fighting together in solidarity to bring about a climate just and equitable world.

We resettle

CG aspires to strengthen our regional and national civil society networks to ensure that all global advocacy and strategies are informed from the bottom-up.

WE BELIEVE THAT ENVIRONMENTAL SECURITY IS NOT JUST ABOUT QUALITY OF LIFE, IT IS A BASIC HUMAN RIGHT

Every day vulnerable people are stripped of their rights, freedom and identity. They are victims of the environmental destruction being inflicted on our shared planet.

We Work with and protect communities that bear the brunt of the devastating seasonal disruptions that can result from food insecurity, disproportionate exposures to toxic substances, premature death, chronic disease, etc.

“ Congo Green is a national Organization founded by a social activist Ormiel Maganga in January 2020. The organization is located in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo and has its affiliated offices in Gbadolite, Goma, Bukavu, and in Lubumbashi. We envision a country in which all women and youth are empowered to thrive as leaders. We picture our country with no food insecurity where values of young people based on mutual respect for human rights, regardless of age, gender and identity and where sustainable development is achieved through shared responsibility, understanding, and empathy. ”

The Organisation uses its independence, network and expertise to empower Congolese women and youth. We believe in the instruments of leadership, justice and mediation for promoting peace, advocacy and participation for empowerment, and education for engagement of Congolese people. Working both publicly, the Organisation will engage with leaders, young people, academia, international organizations and civil society at all levels to fight climate change and food security.
